Emirates Airline was beginning direct service between Dubai and San Francisco, and they were also introducing the new Airbus A380. They selected The Host Group to help introduce their airline and new direct service to a fresh audience of travel agents, CEO’s, Government Officials and the travelling public.

NGMN – Next Generation Mobile Networks
For the first time, NGMN was bringing their conference and exhibition to the United States, and they conducted an extensive search for an event planning partner. Sold by our creative solutions and experience, NGMN selected California Host to assist with their needs in venue selection, food and beverage, entertainment, registration and evening events.
All major elements of the three-day program posed unique challenges, and in all instances California Host delivered solutions to satisfy and exceed NGMN’s expectations:

As an alliance of global telecommunications, research and mobile network partners, NGMN takes extreme care in the execution of its annual conference. After their first experience in the US, our clients were extremely complimentary to California Host for delivering such an excellent experience for their members.
In a competitive bid to outsource its trade show management, Hewlett-Packard selected The Host Group from a pool of ten companies to manage eighteen large U.S. trade shows under a two-year contract. Because The Host Group had enjoyed 28 years of prior history working with HP, we were in a strong position to add value to HP's tradeshow initiative on many levels. On HP's behalf, we negotiated contracts for over 50,000 room nights with hotels at major U.S. convention centers. We secured significant cost savings through volume purchasing and well-placed agreements with major suppliers. We moved 600-700 HP employees to tradeshow events at each city around the country and provided VIP transportation services to HP leadership. The Host Group brought to the project a wide variety of services to support their tradeshow team, successfully concluding the contract.
In 2004 United Airlines launched the first direct flights into Vietnam and retained The Host Group to develop event marketing activities surrounding the airline's Asian service routes. For three years The Host Group managed many promotional and logistical aspects for the California market, including a major event in Union Square to kick-off the media blitz around the first flights in and out of Vietnam and San Francisco's International Airport Terminal. A related event included the design and creation of a Vietnamese marketplace. The Host Group distributed over ten thousand promotional coupons throughout Vietnamese communities in the greater Bay Area, using a team of 12 staff members in themed uniforms. Our creative style played an integral part of the United service launch, creating a hook that brought 17 news outlets to the event.
